Woman admits kicking and biting officer
A woman who kicked and bit a police officer will be sentenced in November.
Sahnia Bell, 21, admitted assaulting and obstructing the officer, as well as violently resisting arrest, when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that Bell tried to accompany police when they arrived at a Warwick residence in June and became aggressive when asked to stop.
Bell, from Warwick, bit one officer’s finger and kicked their leg several times before being taken to Hamilton Police Station.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos ordered that social inquiry and mental health reports be written for Bell and extended her bail until November 13, when she will be sentenced.
