The WER Joell Tennis Stadium reopened today, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport said.

A spokeswoman said the stadium, which has been closed since August 28 so safety issues could be assessed, reopened to the public at 3pm.

However, the facility’s reception area, grandstands, offices, bathrooms and storage areas remain closed pending final structural assessments.

The spokeswoman added: “Portable restrooms will be available behind Court 3, with additional facilities at the nearby softball diamond.

“Evening and weekend staff will be stationed at the softball diamond building, while administration and management will work remotely.”

Court bookings must be made through CourtReserve.com or the CourtReserve app and payments are processed via the WER Joell portal.
