Several airlines are expected to reduce flights to the island next month but airlift to some destinations will increase.

The October flight timetable published online by Skyport showed that American Airlines is scheduled to resume its direct service between Bermuda and Miami on October 7, just over a month after the route was halted.

The airline is also expected to bring back daily services to Charlotte and Philadelphia in early October after previously reducing service from the cities.

An American Airlines daily service to New York’s JFK is expected to continue throughout October.

Air Canada, which reduced services between Bermuda and Toronto this month by halting its Monday and Thursday flights, is to launch a Tuesday service late next month, bringing the number of weekly flights back up to four.

Other airlines, however, are expected to reduce the number of flights to and from Bermuda in October.

British Airways is to reduce its service between Bermuda and London Heathrow as of October 27 by halting its Tuesday and Friday flights.

Meanwhile, Jet Blue is expected to end its daily service to JFK on October 26, while maintaining its service between Bermuda and Boston.

United Airlines is scheduled to continue daily service between Bermuda and Newark, while Delta will still offer four weekly flights to New York and three weekly flights to Atlanta.

BermudAir will continue its services to Boston, Fort Lauderdale, Westchester, Baltimore, Orlando, Toronto and Halifax.
