Watch: Bermuda equestrian Kimoy Cruickshank appears on Sunrise show in Jamaica
Bermuda equestrian Kimoy Cruickshank made an appearance on Jamaica's CVM Sunrise show at the weekend.
Cruickshank, who competed for Bermuda in the Grand Caraibes Jumping Championship in Guadeloupe in June, featured in full equestrian gear in the studio alongside trainer Julian Hyde and hosts Yendi Phillips and Ity Ellis.
He was given the opportunity to talk during the segment, wearing his Bermuda attire and detailed his passion for the sport.
“I’ve been riding now for about 12 years,” the young rider said.
“The reason why I love it so much is that my mum introduced me to it and ever since then I’ve just been intertwined. I can’t escape.”
Host Phillips then noticed the Bermuda flag on Cruickshank’s blazer, which gave trainer Hyde the chance to comment on the young star’s love of Jamaica
“Kimoy is now an honorary Jamaican,” Hyde said. “This is his second trip here and he’s catching on to all the lingo. You should hear him with the grooms and kids at the stables. We’ve welcomed him here and he’s part of the family.”
