Samuel Resnik has been granted the 2024 EY Bermuda Gil Tucker Scholarship.

The award is valued at up to $30,000 per year until the recipient has completed the minimum educational requirements to pursue their public accountant, actuarial or other designation based upon their field of study.

Following the completion of his 2024 summer internship with EY Bermuda, the recipient returns to Stonehill College to continue his undergraduate studies in accounting and economics and will be graduating in the spring/summer of 2025.

Mr Resnik said: "I am immensely grateful to be granted this opportunity from EY and look forward to continuing to develop my professional career with the firm. This scholarship will aid in allowing me to focus on my current undergraduate studies as well as my future studies while I am working towards obtaining my CPA."

The award provides students, who have shown academic excellence, the opportunity to attain higher education degrees and begin building careers in the professional services industry.

It also includes a summer internship to gain practical experience and an offer of full-time employment at EY Bermuda upon successful completion of the student’s university studies.

Kent Howard, EY Bermuda partner and Regional Student Programmes Committee leader, said: “Samuel has demonstrated his leadership, his commitment to academic excellence and his future career. We are honoured to award him the EY Bermuda Gil Tucker Scholarship.”
