Taking control of your health using natural wellness will be highlighted with a series of workshops starting on Sunday.

Kendra-Lee Pearman, founder and executive director of Refressh health and wellness centre, will host the four-part series via Zoom.

She explained: “With the rise of chronic health issues, it's more important than ever to be educated about the choices we make for ourselves and our families.

“These workshops aim to provide simple, practical strategies that can make a profound difference in everyday health.

“I want to help people take control of their health and wellbeing and show them that making small changes today can lead to a healthier, stronger tomorrow.”

Each of the 90-minute sessions will be held on Sundays starting at 4.30pm.

The first workshop, “Tiny taste buds — Why nutrition matters: A parent’s guide” will highlight the role nutrition plays in a child’s physical and cognitive development this Sunday.

The second, on October 13, “Sweet and salty truth: Understanding the impact on your health”, will address how salt and sugar contribute to health problems.

People will learn how to naturally strengthen their immune system during “Guarding your health: Effective ways to boost and defend your immune system” on October 27.

The final workshop on November 17, “Nature speaks: Discovering the benefits of natural options”, will highlight how natural remedies can help existing health challenges and prevent future ones.

Each session is $25, but the final will be $10 for those who attend the other three.
