The Bermuda Police Service appealed again for witnesses in connection with a shooting in Warwick when a man suffered gunshot wounds on September 12.

Police found a 48-year-old man injured at Quarry Hill Road shortly after 9pm after several 911 calls reported shots heard in the area.

The wounded man was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

A suspect was arrested last week following the execution of a police warrant at a Warwick home, where a spokesman said “items liable for seizure” were also recovered.

A BPS spokesman said today: “While a suspect has been arrested, the investigation into that matter remains ongoing and we continue to appeal for anyone with information to get in contact with us.”

Witnesses were urged to contact investigating officer Detective Sergeant, Anneka Donawa, on 717-2250 or via e-mail, adonawa@bps.bm.

Anyone with information can also contact Detective Chief Inspector, Derricka Burns, on 717-0921 or by e-mail at dburns@bps.bm.

They can call 211 or the independent and confidential Crime Stoppers number, 800-8477.

Alternatively, members of the public were encouraged to provide any relevant information with a police officer they know.

Information can also be shared through the online community reporting portal at portal.police.bm.
