Rakaya Simmons-Landy has been appointed the newest qualified litigation associate of Trott & Duncan Limited.

A statement from the firm said: “Ms Simmons-Landy, who demonstrated remarkable talent and commitment during her pupillage under the mentorship of senior associate Ryan Hawthorne, has officially joined the T&D team, bringing with her a fresh perspective and an unwavering dedication to the field of law.

“Throughout her pupillage, Ms Simmons-Landy gained invaluable experience working alongside senior barristers and King’s Counsel, such as Delroy Duncan KC and Jerome Lynch KC, on a diverse range of cases.

“Her contributions to the Property and Estates Department, under the guidance of director Perry P. Trott and his team, involved critical activities such as will drafting and estate administration.

“Opting to specialise in litigation, she is now deeply involved in receiving comprehensive training and providing advice in various legal areas, with a particular focus on employment and landlord/tenant matters, alongside associate Sara-Ann Tucker.”
