Brothers Josh and Mical Hardtman hit first-half goals to steer Young Men’s Social Club to their second Premier Division victory when they beat Wolves at Devonshire Recreation Club last night.

The win temporarily lifted Social Club to second in the standings with six points. For Wolves, it was their third straight defeat of the season, which left them rooted to the bottom with no points.

Josh, the older of the two brothers, opened the scoring for Michael Smith’s side in the fifteenth minute when he headed home a Malique Wilson corner.

Mical also scored from a corner in the 23rd minute, his shot slipping through the hands of Wolves goalkeeper Chiquon Smith.

Wolves had their best chance in the 36th minute but Torque Outerbridge could not keep his shot down from a free kick.

Kyle Brangman created another chance with some lovely work on the stroke of half-time but Kieran Evans, a 30th-minute replacement for Jovon Minors, shot wide.

The second half was a dreary affair. Wolves failed to take advantage after Social Club goalkeeper Saki Tuzo limped off and was replaced in goal by Pierre Smith in the 64th minute.

Khiari Hayward came close for Wolves in the 79th minute when he hit the crossbar with a bicycle kick.

Another opportunity fell for the home team seven minutes before the end when Khari Sharrieff’s exquisite free kick was missed by the outstretched legs of Samario Valasse-Paul and Hayward.
