Man accused of having and importing cannabis resin
A man is accused of importing almost 6,000 grams of cannabis resin into Bermuda.
Joshua Joell, 20, was also charged with having the substance with intent to supply when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court.
The offences allegedly occurred in St George’s on December 15, 2023, and the drugs would sell on Bermuda’s streets for about $598,800 if sold by the gram, the court heard.
As the case must be heard in the Supreme Court, Mr Joell, from Paget, was not required to enter pleas yesterday.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos adjourned the case to the December arraignment session, released Mr Joell on $25,000 bail with a surety until that time and ordered that his travel documents be surrendered.
