Celine Collis and Matthew MacLeod join Conyers’ corporate practice
Bermudian associates Celine Collis and Matthew MacLeod have joined the corporate practice at law firm Conyers.
Ms Collis joins Conyers from Reed Smith LLP in London, bringing expertise in corporate and commercial law with a focus on cross-border corporate finance, aviation finance, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters.
Mr MacLeod brings significant experience in corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities and corporate finance.
He trained and gained valuable post-qualification experience at Cox & Palmer, a leading law firm in Atlantic Canada.
Conyers said the appointments reflected the firm’s strategic commitment to the recruitment and retention of exceptional Bermudians to drive the firm’s practice.
Marcello Ausenda, head of the Bermuda Corporate Practice, said: “We are delighted to welcome Celine and Matthew to Conyers. Their appointments reflect our desire to invest in and develop ‘best in class’ Bermudian legal talent to support and deliver superior legal solutions to our clients.
“Celine and Matthew have both had excellent training and work experience at leading onshore firms, which makes them ideally suited to hit the ground running in our busy corporate practice.
“We are also very proud of the fact that the addition of Celine and Matthew makes our corporate team of lawyers the largest in Bermuda — measured by both size and number of Bermudian lawyers.”
