Programme will train Bermudians in trades
Bermudians can gain experience in various fields through the Department of Workforce Development’s skilled trades apprenticeship training programme.
A government spokesman said the programme, held in partnership with Bermuda’s construction industry, equipped people with “the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful technical, vocational and trade career” in fields such as plumbing, masonry and carpentry.
Participants will receive hands-on experience in these fields and can earn additional certifications after completing the two-phased programme.
Applicants must be Bermudian, aged between 18 and 35, have a high school diploma or equivalent work experience and be interested in pursuing technical or vocational careers.
They must also commit to the programme for two years and complete ten weeks of local training.
• People can register for the programme throughjotform and have until November 8 to do so. Contact workforce development’s training and assessment officer on 297-7714 for more information
