The Free Democratic Movement today announced a new chairman as part of its reinvented executive team.

Omar Dill was welcomed to the role, replacing Rayki Bascome-Emery.

Mr Dill said: “I am honoured to serve as chairperson alongside a talented new team.

“Together, we’re dedicated to creating real, positive change that Bermudians can feel in their day-to-day lives — expanding economic opportunities, increasing access to affordable housing and strengthening our communities to ensure a future where every Bermudian has the support and opportunities they need to thrive.”

Marc Bean, the founder and leader of the FDM, said: “Omar’s character truly precedes him.

“He brings trustworthiness, deep integrity and a respectful approach to leadership that aligns with the values of the FDM.

“His steady, values-driven leadership has already instilled confidence within our membership and I have full faith in his ability to help lead us forward.”
