Non-profit Alliance to hold information workshops

Residents can learn more about the Non-profit Alliance of Bermuda’s leadership programmes during virtual information sessions in December and January.

Nicola Paugh, the NAB executive director, said the charity “developed a robust continuum of leadership development opportunities for professionals working or interested in the non-profit sector”.

The alliance offers the introduction to non-profit management certificate, the certified non-profit professional credential programme, a certificate in non-profit financial management and the Propel non-profit accelerator programme.

Graduates of the nine-month introduction to non-profit management programme earn an accredited certificate from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The certified non-profit professional credential programme involves six months of virtual learning, four in-person leadership sessions, an intensive project and a three-day conference.

The four-day virtual certificate in financial management programme, offered through Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business, emphasises non-profit financial management.

Meanwhile the Propel accelerator programme helps organisations develop best standards for practice and work towards sustainability and long term financial health.

Dr Paugh added: “Our goal is to develop a pipeline of future leaders with the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead well-run and effective non-profit organisations.

“We encourage anyone interested in a profession in the third sector to join an upcoming information to learn more about these educational opportunities.”
