A judge who sits in both Bermuda and the Cayman Islands was the guest speaker as the Bermuda branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators held its 24th annual dinner.

Nicholas Segal is a Judge of the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands and Assistant Justice of the Supreme Court of Bermuda.

A spokesman for the institute said: “Justice Segal delivered an insightful and humorous address, which was well received by the audience.”

Held at the Fourways Inn, the dinner celebrated the achievements of the branch and honoured its members in the presence of guests including Larry Mussenden, the Chief Justice, as well as members of Bermuda’s judiciary and legal practitioners from leading law firms.

Warren Bank, the chairman of the branch, served as master of ceremonies for the event, while branch secretary Christine Payne organised the evening.
