A scheduled road closure on Pitts Bay Road has been pushed back to Thursday, according to a notice from the Ministry of Public Works.

The closure was scheduled to take place earlier this month, but was postponed twice because of weather conditions.

The government notice said: “To facilitate a safe crane lift operation, Pitts Bay Road in the City of Hamilton will now be closed from 5am to 7.30am on November 28.

“The affected section extends from Waterloo Lane to Woodbourne Avenue. Traffic control measures will be in place under the direction of D&J Construction Company representatives, utilising barricades, signs and cones to ensure public safety.

“Motorists are advised to use detour routes via Rosemont Avenue or Woodbourne Avenue during this time.

“The ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused and appreciates the public's co-operation and understanding as it undertakes these necessary works.”
