Man in custody on gun charges
A teenager has appeared in court accused of having a firearm and ammunition.
Dahny Simmons-Outerbridge, 18, was charged with having a Smith & Wesson firearm with a 5.5-inch barrel, as well as five rounds of .22 ammunition without a licence, when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court today.
Mr Simmons-Outerbridge, from Warwick, allegedly had the items on Monday.
As the case must be heard in the Supreme Court, Mr Simmons-Outerbridge was not required to enter pleas.
Magistrate Maria Sofianos adjourned the case to the January arraignment session and remanded Mr Simmons-Outerbridge in custody until that time.
