APWC records net income of $900,000 at three-quarter mark

Asia Pacific Wire & Cable Corporation provides services in calibration and testing, but also renewable energy system integration, together with bare and enamelled wires and communication and power cables

Asia Pacific Wire & Cable Corporation Ltd, the holding company incorporated in Bermuda, has reported net income of $900,000 for the first nine months of the year, a drop of $200,000 compared with the prior-year period.

Revenues for the nine months ended September 30 were $336.6 million, an increase of 14.4 per cent from $294.2 million for the nine months ended September 30, 2023.

Operating profit for the period was $4.5 million, an increase from operating profit of $100,000 for the prior-year period.

APWC reported $34.4 million in cash and cash equivalents as of September 30, which compares with cash and cash equivalents of $38.5 million as of September 30, 2023.

Shareholder’s equity attributable to APWC was $163.7 million, which compares with $157.1 million as of December 31, 2023.

APWC is a manufacturer of wire and cable products for the telecommunications and electric-power industries in the Asia-Pacific region.
