Man accused of child-related offences
A Warwick man has been accused of committing offences against a child more than 30 years ago.
The 61-year-old, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, appeared in Magistrates’ Court today, when he was charged with causing a boy to commit two indecent acts.
It was alleged that the offences were committed in 1990 and 1991, when the boy was under the age of 14.
As the case must be heard in the Supreme Court, the man was not required to enter pleas today.
Magistrate Tyrone Chin adjourned the case to the January arraignment session, released the man on $10,000 bail until that time and ordered him not to contact the alleged victim or any prosecution witnesses.
