Golfer Camilo Legere faces a tough task if he is to successfully defend his title at the 37th annual Fecchio Junior Cup this week.

Legere is set to face strong competition at Turtle Hill Golf Course during the two-day competition, which starts on Thursday, with recent Moongate Tour Championship winner Oliver Betschart and the improving Johnny Bart among the field.

Recent Port Royal Female Club Champion Sienna Mosquera will also be a threat to overall honours along with Darina Betschart.

There are 39 junior golfers set to tee off, with players split into four divisions based on their age.

The Blue Division (15+yrs) consists of 12 golfers, with the White Division (13-14 yrs) the largest with 17 players signed up. The Red Division (11-12 yrs) has just three entrants and the Gold Division (9-10 yrs) will be contested by seven youngsters.

The Blue and White Divisions will be playing 36 holes over two days using the Strokeplay format. The Red Division will also be a 36-hole event, but in the Stableford format, with the same format being used in the Gold Division over 18 holes across two days.
