Everest Re has appointed Craig Hanrahan to lead its North America insurance field operations.

Mr Hanrahan will oversee the firm’s four American retail regions, and will report to Bill Hazelton, executive vice-president of Everest Insurance and president of North America insurance.

“Craig is a trusted and collaborative industry leader whose strategic vision, strong relationships, and results-driven approach make him the ideal choice to lead our North America retail field operations team,” Mr Hazelton said.

“With Craig driving our regionalised customer-focused strategy, we are well positioned to deliver consistently superior service for our retail clients and brokers.”

Mr Hanrahan’s appointment follows his previous role as Everest’s northeast regional executive for North America insurance.

Over the past three decades, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility at Chubb, Marsh and AIG.
