Motorist referred to treatment court after crash
A teenager who injured another driver in Southampton has been referred to a court treatment programme.
Jashuntae Moore, 19, admitted causing Jokai Fox grievous bodily harm by riding a bike without due care and attention when she appeared in Magistrates’ Court in October, and reappeared in court on Wednesday for sentencing.
The court heard that Moore collided with Mr Fox, who was also on a bike, while trying to overtake him along Middle Road on October 13, 2022.
Mr Fox, Moore and her pillion passenger were all injured in the collision.
Magistrate Tyrone Chin ordered Moore to participate in the treatment programme starting on January 16 and extended her bail until that time.
