The Bermuda Police Service has said the 911 emergency phone line is up and running again after going offline earlier today.

A spokesman said shortly after noon today that, in addition to 911, the non-emergency phone number, 211 and the main police phone number, 295-0011, were offline.

However, as of 3.30pm, the spokesman confirmed that the phone lines were operational again.

“We thank our community for their patience while restoration work was carried out,” the spokesman added.

No reason for the outage was given.
