Advance poll details given for General Election
Bermudian voters will head to the polls on February 18 to decide their next government — and the Parliamentary Registry has announced arrangements for those unable to cast their ballots on the day itself.
For advance polling, voters can attend the Dundonald Street entrance to the Mount Saint Agnes Academy school hall with valid identification between 8am and 8pm on February 10 and 11.
Travellers will need to provide a hard copy of their travel documents, showing their departure and return dates.
Incapacitated voters, including people with scheduled medical procedures, will need to have their doctor send a letter of incapacity to pro@gov.bm.
Anyone over 65 is eligible for the advance poll, as are election workers who will be given certification for the early vote, and police officers, who should bring their warrant card.
The Parliamentary Registry will be open from 8am to 8pm to assist voters with ID cards and any other election-related matters.
Officers will call on King Edward VII Memorial Hospital on February 12 to take votes from anyone who will be in hospital on election day. Valid identification is required.
On February 13 and 14, election officers will visit rest homes, while voters who are unable to attend their polling station on election day should make an application to the registrar no later than February 5.
