Arch Insurance promotes three in casualty division
Arch Insurance International has announced three senior promotions in its casualty division.
Arch is part of Bermudian-based Arch Capital Group and includes Arch Insurance UK and the P&C insurance operations of Arch Insurance (EU) dac, as well as Arch’s insurance operations in Bermuda, Europe, and Australia.
Robin Hamilton has been promoted to head of energy and marine liability, where the company said he will be responsible for combining the capabilities of the energy liability and marine liability teams to deliver more comprehensive solutions in the space.
Arch said Tony Flatman, head of marine liability, will continue to oversee the day-to-day underwriting and portfolio management for marine liability.
Mr Hamilton, who reports to head of casualty, James Mecham, was most recently head of energy liability.
Rory Thompson and Marie-Claire Bessada have been named head of London market wholesale, general liability, and head of retail, general liability, respectively.
In these roles, the company said they are responsible for all underwriting and portfolio management activities across these sectors as Arch looks to further strengthen its market position. They both report to Mr Mecham.
Both Mr Thompson and Ms Bessada were previously general liability portfolio managers.
