Sangheetaa Phary joins Appleby
Sangheetaa Phary has joined the Bermuda office of law firm Appleby as counsel in the corporate department.
The firm said Ms Phary specialises in corporate and commercial law, with her expertise encompassing a wide range of areas including [insurance and reinsurance] law, public and private mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, corporate restructuring, joint ventures, and strategic governmental and regulatory consultancy.
Before joining Appleby, she practised at ASW Law.
Ms Phary was recognised as the first Malaysian to be Called to the Bermuda Bar in this century.
Appleby said her professional background includes significant tenure at one of the largest international law practices in South-East Asia and Britain.

Ms Phary was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2011 and subsequently to the Malaysian Bar as an advocate and solicitor in 2014.
She was admitted to the Bermuda Bar in 2024.
