The luxury estate of celebrity couple Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones is up for sale.

Rego Sotheby's International Realty has Longford Estate, 10 Longford Road, Warwick, listed on its website at a value of $10.75 million.

Mr Douglas, a Bermudian, and his Welsh wife lived at the property for several years in the early 2000s before moving to New York.

The six-bedroom family property sits on 3.12 acres of land and includes a swimming pool, tennis courts and gardens. The interior boasts a home movie theatre, jacuzzi and staff quarters.

The listing on Rego’s website says: “Longford Estate is the breathtaking Bermuda home of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

“This spectacular gated private Bermuda estate in Warwick offers incredible harbour views in a parklike oasis. The centrepiece of the property is a large, elegant, yet informal 1827 ivy-covered English country-style home.

“The beautifully restored main house has a spacious living room with a fireplace, dining room, gourmet kitchen, and a two-bedroom, two-bathroom suite containing a music room and den.

“On the upper level, enjoy stunning water views from your luxurious master suite. An amenity-rich adjacent second en suite bedroom includes a private office and large media room.”

Rego’s also listed the property for $10.65 million in 2017. Entertainment website E! Online reported in 2013 that the property was available for rent at $28,000 a month.

The Hollywood couple are also looking to sell their New York home, according to an article in The Wall Street Journal.

Ms Zeta-Jones told the paper: “When I purchased our Irvington home, I knew our family would share many happy times here, and we have.

“Now that both our son and daughter have left the nest, it seems like the right time to sell.”

She said that she and her husband plan to spend more time in Bermuda and Europe.

Longford Estate includes two, 50-foot-long covered cedar verandas offering views of the Great Sound.

Included on the property are a renovated two-bedroom guest cottage, a 100-year-old apartment and a two-bedroom caretaker’s cottage.

The listing added: “True Bermuda charm and elegance awaits at this internationally available estate home.”

Mr Douglas, whose late mother, Diana Douglas (née Dill), was Bermudian, has starred in movies including War of the Roses, Fatal Attraction and Basic Instinct.

He reached an agreement in 2001 to buy Longford Estate, which was understood to have been worth $2.5 million at the time. The home was seen as a holiday getaway to enjoy with his wife and their son, Dylan, who was a baby at the time.

In 2012, Mr Douglas signed a deal with the Slovakian real estate developer JTRE to redevelop the Dill family’s 13.8-acre Ariel Sands site in Devonshire into a five-star resort.
