Bermuda’s new governor will be sworn in tomorrow morning during a ceremony on the Cabinet Office lawn.
Andrew Murdoch will take on his official position at 11.30am, joined by David Burt, the Premier, and other dignitaries.
Mr Murdoch flew in this evening and met Mr Burt on the tarmac of LF Wade International Airport.
Tom Oppenheim, the Acting Governor, and Jarion Richardson, the Leader of the Opposition, were also there to greet Mr Murdoch, as well as Chief Justice Larry Mussenden, Cabinet Secretary Marc Telemaque, the Commissioner of Police, the Commander of the Royal Bermuda Regiment, and the president of Skyport.
Mr Murdoch’s swearing-in ceremony will be livestreamed over the Government’s YouTube channel and Facebook page.
In the event of poor weather, the ceremony will take place within the Cabinet Office building.
