Marsh McLennan’s support of Hamilton Seventh Day Adventist Church’s feeding programme will continue, a Marsh statement has said.

Staff have been volunteering time and resources since 2020, helping to address food insecurity for some of the island’s most vulnerable residents.

At least 12 times a year, they participate in the preparation and serving of meals. The effort not only ensures that meals are provided to those in need but also serves as a valuable team-building opportunity, allowing colleagues to collaborate outside the office environment, the company said.

Last month, as part of its Annual Holiday Giveback, Marsh McLennan colleagues continued their tradition of cooking and serving meals during the festive season.

The company fully funded the HSDAC’s annual Christmas Day feeding programme and donated toys.

Christopher Reeves, chief executive officer of Marsh McLennan, Bermuda, said staff were deeply committed to making a meaningful community difference.

HSDAC director of the feeding programme, Marva Trott, added: “We are so grateful to Marsh McLennan for their support over the years. Their generosity and dedication have helped us to provide meals to hundreds of individuals each week.”

Each Wednesday, the HSDAC feeding programme serves over 300 people, some on-site while others take their food to go.
