Nayan Grant signs for League Two Gillingham’s academy
Nayan Grant has become the latest promising Bermudian footballer to be signed by a professional football team in Britain.
Grant, who is a member of the Bermuda National Academy and has represented his country at under-15 and under-17 level, has joined the academy at Gillingham, a League Two side based in Kent, England.
The young player joined the Warwick Archers programme at under-13 level and progressed through the youth teams into the senior team for Robin Hood FC. He attended Warwick Academy before leaving for school in England
Grant featured as a substitute for Gillingham’s under-18 side in a 3-3 draw with Luton Town on Saturday but was unfortunate to be injured in the first half of his side’s under-17 match against Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.
