Bermuda Hockey Federation league leaders Budgies played out a 2-2 draw with Griffins at the National Sports Centre on Sunday.

It was the third draw of the season for Budgies, which leaves them still on top of the four-team standings in the women’s league with 15 points.

With an array of experienced players, such as former Bermuda captain LaKae Tavares, national stars Georgia Harris, Amy Harper, Yvonna Osborne, and Latonia Fray, Budgies remain favourite to win a title that was won by Ravens last season.

Jessica Charles and Kascia DaSilva were the scorers for Budgies, while Abigail Brewer and Heather Sinclair were on target for Griffins, who are second on the standings with 11 points.

In the mixed league, Jack Finlay’s goal made all the difference for Swizzles to overcome Knights 1-0 on Friday. The win lifted Swizzles to the top of the table in the three-team league.
