Students were given a “passport” allowing them to sample food from four of the stations set up in the hall that represented different countries.

Daltonell Minors, the deputy principal, said: “We wanted to get children in touch with other cultures that are a part of our school population.

“Each class would study a separate country and today was culmination of the work they have been doing.

“Some gave presentations and brought in food representing their country.

“They loved it. Each child was given a passport with four stamp spaces so they could go around and get a taste of those four stations. Around the hall there were artefacts from the different countries presented.

“During the presentations, we learnt about Egypt’s King Tut and how Egyptians were known for hieroglyphics, toothpaste and breath mints, jewellery and make-up.

“For Bermuda, we danced to Proud to Be Bermudian and a Kenyan student shared a lot about their food, the animals, religion and language.”
