Two arrested after police chase
Two men were arrested after a police chase in Pembroke on Friday night.
A Bermuda Police Service spokesman said that officers on mobile patrol spotted a motorcycle being ridden with its headlight off shortly after 9pm.
He explained: “Officers activated their emergency equipment and approached the motorcycle, but the driver failed to stop.
“Officers pursued the motorcycle, which eventually came to a stop at the old Berkeley Institute.
“A foot chase ensued, with both the driver and pillion passenger being detained and arrested.”
Subsequent checks revealed that the bike that was seized by police had earlier been reported as stolen.
During the pursuit, two police vehicles collided, resulting in minor damage to both vehicles. There were no injuries.
