2025 End-to-End charity recipients unveiled
Programmes to support seniors, empower young people and preserve Bermuda’s natural heritage are set to benefit from this year’s Convex End-to-End.
Organisers behind the event have named five charities as recipients for the 38th edition, including Age Concern, the Bermuda Audubon Society, the Bermuda Red Cross, Duke of Edinburgh Bermuda and the Reading Clinic.
Contributions will also go towards St John Ambulance and the top competing school in this year’s event, scheduled to take place on May 3.
Christen Styche, chair of the Bermuda End-to-End Charitable Trust, said: “The 2025 charity recipients are all deeply committed to improving the Bermuda community, whether through environmental conservation, youth development, senior support or healthcare assistance.
“Since its inception, the End-to-End Charitable Trust has donated over $7 million to local charities, and we are proud to continue this legacy.
“None of this would be possible without the support of our sponsors, volunteers, and participants. We are especially grateful to our Lead Sponsor, Convex, now in its fourth year, along with our Platinum Sponsors, Deloitte and Butterfield.”
Paul Simons, CEO of Convex Bermuda, added: “Convex is once again thrilled to be the title sponsor of the 2025 Convex End to End.
“We are privileged to be a longstanding supporter of this wonderful event which over the years has supported so many vital charities and is an important part of Bermuda in action.”
The 38th annual Convex End-to-End will take place on May 3 with a range of options available for those interested in taking part:
End-to-End-to-End Cycle (48.2 miles): Dockyard to St George’s and back to Dockyard
Full End-to-End (24.1 miles): St George’s to Dockyard
Middle-to-End Walk (14 miles): Point Pleasant Park, Hamilton to Dockyard
Middle-to-End Cycle (14 miles): Botanical Gardens to Dockyard
Fun Walk and Cycle (three miles, sponsored by Athene): From Beacon Hill, Somerset, to Dockyard.
Registration for the 2025 Convex End-to-End will open on March 1
A statement from organisers said that the donated funds will go to charitable programmes including Age Concern Bermuda’s Hardship Support Programme, which offers financial assistance to seniors.
It will support the Bermuda Audubon Society’s work on the High Point Nature Reserve in Southampton, the revitalisation of medical equipment at the Bermuda Red Cross, the Core Reading Programme at the Reading Clinic and Duke of Edinburgh Bermuda’s Youth Achievement Award.
A contribution will also be made to St John Ambulance to support their offerings of first aid training, emergency transport and medical coverage for public events.
The top participating school will be awarded $15,000, sponsored by Deloitte with support from Butterfield & Vallis and Bermuda End-to-End.
