Road to close for demolition works on Sunday

Part of Pitts Bay Road will be closed to traffic on Sunday for demolition works in the area.

The Ministry of Public Works said that the closure will be in effect between Woodbourne Avenue and Waterloo Lane in Pembroke from 7.30am to 4pm.

A ministry spokesman said: “Motorists are advised to avoid the closure area and use alternative routes.

“Westbound traffic will be diverted through Woodbourne Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be diverted through Rosemont Avenue.

“The Ministry of Public Works encourages the full co-operation of the motoring public and apologises for any inconvenience that may result.”

Traffic control will be under the direction of Island Construction Services representatives.

Questions can be directed to Allan DeSilva, vice-president of Island Construction Services, on 236-3011.
