Thomas Wafer appointed to boards at Incline P&C Group
Texas-based Incline P&C Group, the insurance programme market services firm, has elected Bermuda market veteran Thomas Wafer to the boards of each of its insurance carriers as an independent director.
The company said Mr Wafer has more than 40 years of experience in reinsurance and insurance, with a record of leadership across several major organisations.
Most recently, he served as chairman of Willis Re/Gallagher Re North America.
Mr Wafer’s career spans senior roles, including president at Third Point Re (USA) Ltd, and president and chairman of global reinsurance at Alterra.
He led operations at Harbor Point Re in both Bermuda and the United States, and held key positions at Chubb Re and Guy Carpenter Marsh & McLennan.
The company said Mr Wafer will support Incline’s programme management and risk solutions efforts as well as serving on the Incline carriers’ audit committee.
“Tom’s addition to our board couldn’t come at a better time,” said Chris McClellan, Incline president and chief executive. “His expertise spans critical areas of the reinsurance landscape — from strategic growth and risk management to navigating complex market cycles.
“Bringing in someone with his track record and insights will be instrumental in expanding our offerings and building more resilient partnerships.
“Tom’s guidance will support us in managing market dynamics with a sharper focus on sustainability and long-term value for our clients. I look forward to working with him.”
