Marico Thomas, president of the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce, has extended congratulations to the Progressive Labour Party on its success in the General Election last week.

The PLP won 25 seats to the One Bermuda Alliance’s 11 seats as David Burt, the Premier, delivered a third election victory under his leadership.

The chamber said it also congratulates the newly appointed Cabinet ministers and all elected representatives as they take on the responsibility of guiding Bermuda forward.

Mr Thomas said: “As the island’s leading business organisation, the Bermuda Chamber of Commerce looks forward to working collaboratively with the new government to foster economic growth, strengthen the business community, and create opportunities for all Bermudians.

“We remain committed to engaging in meaningful dialogue and initiatives that support a vibrant and sustainable economy.”

The chamber said it recognises both the challenges and opportunities ahead, and is eager to continue its partnership with the Government to ensure Bermuda remains a competitive and prosperous place to live, work and do business.
