Cyclist Nic Narraway finishes sixth in attritional Olias Trophy
Bermuda’s Nicholas Narraway delivered another strong performance in the 45th edition of the Olías Industrial Trophy, finishing sixth overall in one of the most gruelling races in recent years.
From a starting field of 180 riders, Narraway was among just 39 cyclists to complete the race and was the only rider from his Tenerife BikePoint-La Sede team to finish.
The race, held in Toledo, Spain, was plagued by relentless rain, freezing temperatures, and strong winds, creating an unforgiving test of endurance.
With crashes and exhaustion forcing many competitors to withdraw, Narraway demonstrated tactical strength, securing third place in the elite men’s standings and fifth in the mountain classification. He crossed the finish line in sixth overall just six seconds behind the winner, Juan Diego Cano, of Valverde Team-Ricardo Fuentes.
Narraway continues to compete at the elite level while pursuing his college education. This season, while based in Spain, he is managing to balancing his academic commitments through online courses and exams.
