Bermudian educator and skincare specialist Sasha Benson will be teaching at the prestigious International Aesthetics, Cosmetics & Spa Conference in New York this month.

“This marks an historic moment, as I am now the first Bermudian skincare expert to teach at such a large-scale global event, attended by over 30,000 beauty and wellness professionals,” she said.

The IECSC New York 2025 conference will be held in the Javits Convention Centre, Manhattan, from March 20 to 23.

Ms Benson, of Benson Aesthetics, was handpicked by two international skincare brands to represent their cutting-edge devices and technology.

She said this solidified her influence in the global aesthetics industry.

“This achievement not only highlights my expertise and impact in the field but also places Bermuda on the map as a rising force in the skincare and beauty world,” she said.

Ms Benson called the opportunity not just a personal achievement, but also a win for Bermuda tourism and local entrepreneurship.

“As I take the stage at one of the most influential beauty trade shows worldwide, I am opening doors for Bermudian businesses to gain international exposure,” she said.

To celebrate this milestone, Ms Benson is inviting local brands to collaborate by contributing products for VIP giveaway bags at the conference. This initiative is designed to help local businesses gain visibility, recognition and international reach.

“I have attended these shows for years as an attendee, and now, standing on stage as an international speaker and educator, it is truly an incredible full-circle moment,” Ms Benson said. “I want to use my platform to amplify local brands, giving them a chance to be seen, felt and heard on a global scale.”

This was just the beginning for her, as she prepared to teach this year at additional conferences in Dallas, Texas, and Las Vegas, Nevada.

She is also gearing up for the highly anticipated launch of her Foundation to Aesthetics course this spring, which aims to educate and elevate the aesthetics industry in Bermuda.

Ms Benson launched Benson Aesthetics The Academy last May for people who wished to advance their skills in the beauty industry.

She is located at the top of Spurling Hill in Hamilton at 2 Cavendish Road.
