The Ministry of Public Works and Environment today announced several road and lane closures for March and into next month.

The eastbound lane of North Shore Road in Smith’s, just east of Store Hill, will be closed for road edge repairs between Wednesday and Friday from 7.30am to 3pm.

Traffic controls will be in place and motorists are advised to take alternative routes through Store Hill or Middle Road.

Sound View Road in Sandys will also be closed for wall repairs from Somerset Road to Tatem Drive.

The work will take place from tomorrow to March 19, during which time the road will be completely inaccessible to traffic.

A further lane closure will affect the Causeway as the bridge deck undergoes repairs.

The closure will take place over the weekend between 6am and 6pm, during which time traffic lights will be in place.

The public works and environment ministry also reminded the public of the Lindo’s to Lindo’s 10k Run and 4 Mile Walk on Sunday.

The race will take place along much of Middle Road and South Road between Lindo’s in Warwick and Lindo’s in Devonshire from 8.30am to 10.30am.

Motorists were asked to travel with caution or take alternative routes.

Paving works will also occur on Middle Road and George’s Bay Road in Southampton starting on March 10.

A one-lane closure will be set up on George’s Bay Road from Middle Road to the Railway Trail.

The closure will then move to Middle Road and Evans Bay Road on March 17, where work will continue until April 10.
