Collision lands motorist in court
A motorist who collided with a truck in Southampton has been disqualified from driving all vehicles for six months.
Moses Simmons, 22, admitted riding his motorcycle without due care and attention when he appeared in Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
The court heard that Simmons, from Hamilton Parish, collided with the truck at the junction of George’s Bay Road and the Railway Trail on July 25.
Simmons sustained leg and facial injuries in the collision and his bike was extensively damaged.
In addition to being banned, Simmons was fined $1,000 for the offence.
