There has been a serious, single-vehicle crash involving a police motorcycle near the junction of Paynters Road and Harrington Sound Road in Smith’s.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted along Paynters Road.

Westbound traffic is being diverted at Shark Hole Hill back along Harrington Sound Road to North Shore Road.

It is expected the roadway will be closed for an extended period while the scene is processed.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes to get to their destinations.
