DropIt, the online grocery delivery service, has appointed Stefanny Sanchez as its new chief operating officer.

The company said Ms Sanchez brings with her a wealth of experience in e-commerce, digital product content and technical product management, positioning her as a key leader in DropIt’s continued expansion and innovation.

A company statement added: “In her new role, she will oversee operations, platform enhancements and customer experience initiatives for the company.

“Ms Sanchez, a former Berkeley Institute valedictorian, has spent the past seven years in Toronto honing her expertise in online retail and data-driven automation.

“She has worked in various strategic and technical roles with a major off-price apparel and home fashion retailer, as well as one of the largest retail/e-commerce chains globally.

“Her work spanned digital product taxonomy, AI-driven categorisation and back-end system optimisations, all designed to enhance the customer experience.”

Ms Sanchez said: “Having spent the past seven years in Toronto, I’ve become used to the conveniences of modern technology and apps which make life easier and quicker, from grocery and food delivery to ride sharing services.

“Unfortunately, Bermuda is a little behind the curve on these services, but I am proud of the impressive strides DropIt has made over the past few years to bring those technologies up to speed and I am excited to play a role in building out and further, expanding these kinds of platforms for the island.

“Time is our most valuable asset and DropIt is committed to helping customers reclaim theirs. Whether you’re a busy professional, a parent balancing work and home life or even a visitor to our beautiful island, DropIt is dedicated to providing an effortless, high-end grocery shopping experience.”

The company said that in partnership with the Lindo’s group, it has been revolutionising grocery shopping in Bermuda since 2019, offering a wide range of speciality and premium products with on-island customer support.

The statement said: “Under Sanchez’s leadership, the company looks forward to expanding its offerings, improving operational efficiencies, and introducing new innovations to enhance the customer experience.”
