Two men injured in three-vehicle collision
Two men were injured on Monday when a car and two motorbikes were involved in a collision in Smith’s.
A spokesman for the Bermuda Police Service said that the incident happened at about 6.50pm.
He explained: “It now appears that the car was being driven out of Zuill’s Park Road when the first motorcycle, being ridden in the eastbound lane of South Road, collided with the car.
“Apparently the second motorcycle, also being ridden in the eastbound lane of South Road behind the first motorcycle, came into contact with the car as well, despite efforts to avoid a collision.”
The spokesman added that the Sandys man, aged 44, was believed to have sustained more serious injuries than the 31-year-old Smith’s man, who was also hurt.
As of last check, the older man remained in hospital.
The driver of the car, said to be a 50-year-old Smith’s parish woman, was not hurt.
All three vehicles were damaged in the collision.
The police spokesman said that traffic diversions were set up on St Mark’s Road and Knapton Hill for almost three hours while the scene was processed.
