Women in Reinsurance (WiRe) Bermuda and the Women’s Resource Centre (WRC) have organised a fundraising relay race this weekend.

The event takes place on Sunday, March 30, with the start taking place at the Waterfront Properties Courtyard at 90 Pitts Bay Road, Pembroke, HM08.

Participants have a choice of events, including taking part as a team of four over 12 kilometres (four people x 3km each), or partnering up in a walking team of two over 6km (two people x 3km each), with men also welcome to run/walk.

Refreshments and post-race snacks will be provided, as well as prizes awarded to the fastest teams.

“All race sign-up fees will be donated to support the work of the Women's Resource Centre, which is devoted to providing women with the necessary support and resources to thrive and achieve a healthy, joyful and successful life,” a statement from the race organisers read yesterday.

“For more three decades they been a steadfast ally for women, supporting their journey, empowering them in transition and providing them with the tools, resources, and community support they need to navigate life successfully.
