BZS offers environmental scholarship
The Bermuda Zoological Society has invited people who are passionate about protecting the environment to apply for scholarships.
Students working towards an environmental degree can apply for the BZS-Steinhoff Scholarship for environmental sciences.
The deadline for applications is April 30.
“The BZS is proud to support the next generation of Bermudian scientists and environmental stewards,” the society said on its Facebook page.
The BZS-Steinhoff Scholarship was the gift of Robert Steinhoff, a former BZS president, whose contribution to the society’s education, conservation and research programmes has been greatly appreciated.
The scholarship is awarded to students in the final two years of study in a bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree in subjects related to environmental sciences at an accredited institution.
Applicants must have a genuine passion for the environment, strong academic performance and Bermudian status or eligibility.
They must have related work or volunteer experience with the BZS or the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo.
