ABM has expanded its engineering division with two Bermudian hires: Zeeko Johnstone, a mechanical engineer, and Jamar Dill, an electrical engineer.

The appointments mark what the Hamilton-based firm described as an important step in expanding its in-house capacity and keeping a focus on sustainable infrastructure projects. Founded in 2016, ABM provides complex mechanical and electrical systems in Bermuda’s commercial, industrial and residential sectors.

Mr Johnstone, a registered professional engineer in both Bermuda and Ontario, joins the firm with more than seven years of experience in residential and commercial developments in Bermuda and Canada.

He began his career as a mechanical engineering trainee with the Bermuda Government and will be responsible at ABM for HVAC, plumbing and fire sprinkler design, as well as energy audits and project management.

“I’m excited to be part of a company that is making a real impact on Bermuda’s infrastructure and sustainability goals,” Mr Johnstone said. “ABM’s diverse project portfolio and commitment to engineering excellence made this an easy decision for me.”

Mr Dill brings more than two decades of experience in the electrical power industry, having worked in Bermuda and Canada on infrastructure, renewable energy and life safety systems. He holds degrees in electrical power and reliability engineering and is a registered chartered engineer and Peng in both jurisdictions.

“ABM’s forward-thinking approach and dynamic project scope align with my passion for innovative electrical solutions,” he said. “I look forward to contributing to some of the island’s most impactful engineering projects.”

ABM managing director Bryan Adams said both hires strengthened the firm’s ability to deliver “high-quality, sustainable solutions”.

“Zeeko and Jamar bring not only a wealth of experience but a deep understanding of Bermuda’s unique infrastructure needs,” he said.

Terry Barrow, who leads ABM alongside Mr Adams, added: “It’s an exciting time for ABM as we position ourselves for future growth and innovation.”
