“She has a rich background in labour and delivery and longstanding service as an office nurse alongside local obstetricians and gynaecologists,” Harmony Birth founder Feven Binega-Northcott said.

“As a certified childbirth instructor and lactation educator, Ms Stevens has dedicated her career to empowering families with knowledge and heartfelt support.”

She said Ms Stevens has nurtured a generation of families, including Ms Binega-Northcott’s own.

“It is an absolute treat to have Rita on board,” she said.

Post-partum support practitioner Morgan Hopkins has also joined Harmony Birth, drawing from her formative experiences of pregnancy and birth in the Netherlands, where post-partum doula care is standard.

“She brings fresh, innovative ways to reimagine post-partum care, infused with the tried-and-true traditions of nurturing new families,” Ms Binega-Northcott said.

“We are so lucky to have Morgan with us. Her grounded presence and thoughtful, affirming approach embody the kind of care every family deserves.”

Harmony Birth is also introducing the Wise Cycles Fertility Awareness programme to support women in understanding their cycles, optimising hormonal health and making empowered choices about conception or contraception.

“Whether you’re planning for pregnancy, coming off hormonal birth control, or simply curious about your body’s rhythms, Wise Cycles offers practical education rooted in body literacy and respect,” Ms Binega-Northcott said.

She believes that informed, respectful care should be accessible at every stage.

Ms Binega-Northcott said that since launching in 2009, Harmony Birth had become a trusted space for perinatal education and support in Bermuda.

“Rooted in values of compassion, informed choice, and connection, the practice provides a full spectrum of care including doula support, childbirth education, lactation counselling, and now, fertility awareness education,” she said.
