Ag Show to feature international cyclists
An international bicycle motocross team will wow audiences at the Agricultural Exhibition next week.
The government said that a team from US-based DialedAction Sports will perform stunts in the Botanical Gardens show ring from April 24 to 26.
DialedAction, formed by professional BMX athlete Brian Cunningham, comprises 12 teams of professional cyclists who perform throughout North America.
Jaché Adams, the Minister of Public Works and the Environment, said: “The introduction of DialedAction to this year's exhibition brings an exciting new energy to an already beloved tradition.
“These are world-class performers, and we are proud to be able to bring this level of live entertainment to Bermuda for families, students and visitors to enjoy.”
Volunteers and ministry staff, including trainees from the Skills Development Programme, this week continued to prepare the gardens for the event, which had more than 11,000 attendees last year.
Mr Adams said: “The dedication shown by our staff and volunteers is truly commendable.
“They have poured time and effort into getting every detail right and their work reflects our pride in hosting this national celebration.”
He added: “The exhibition brings our community together in a special way — whether you're coming for the food, the animals, the crafts or the new BMX performances, there's truly something for everyone.”
The event will take place from 8am to 6pm all three days and tickets, which cost $10 for adults and $5 for children and seniors, can be bought at the gate.
