All of the remaining ICC World Cup Americas Qualifier matches will be held at White Hill Field as the North Field is considered as “unsuitable for international play”.

The tournament, including Bermuda, Canada, Cayman Islands and the United States, has been alternating games between White Hill Field and North Field.

However, Andrea Hufferd, the ICC Americas finance and operations officer, said in statement released by the Bermuda Cricket Board: “After seeing the conditions of the pitch on August 19, we feel the pitch is unsuitable for international play. “This is a World Cup Qualifying event and as such the integrity of the surfaces need to be at a standard which is fair for all.

“The management and groundstaff at Somerset Bridge Recreation Club/White Hill Field have indicated that they can accommodate our request and are more than willing to assist with the logistics to get the venue up and ready.”

Two matched were played at North Field on Monday. Bermuda’s game against Canada was abandoned as a no result because of rain, while the United States beat Cayman by ten runs on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method.
